Of Geese and Academics

Today, the 'principal' of the school emailed all the students his last letter for this academic year (I hope that makes sense).
 
He began it by saying, "I watched a flock of geese flying north the other day. It warmed my heart to see them making a reliable return to this part of the world that has been (until recently) so firmly in winter’s grasp. Like the geese, the academic year has flown by."

As corny and poetic that sounds, and as much as his whole email made us laugh, Dean Woolf--Principal Woolf, apologies (I guess he's our pal or something idfk), had a good point.

The year literally flew by. I feel like it was just yesterday I watched my family drive away from Chown Hall, me crying my eyes out and waving bye, sad but very excited.

There were ups and there were downs; shitty neighbours, stomach ouchies, the noise levels, that annoying guy I wrote about back in December (he's not our housemate thank goodness!), the academic failures....But there were also a lot of ups: my sudden writing flow, FanFic wise, the friends I made, the experiences I had, the feel of living away and being responsible....

And now, as I drown myself in English Notes and sob because ANNE SHOULDA FUCKING STABBED RICHARD WHEN SHE HAD THE CHANCE CUZ NOW LOOK 11 PEOPLE ARE DEAD INCLUDING HER AND HE DONE FUCKED UP 

 

Anywho, I'm feeling pretty determined right about now. Actually, I've been feeling liek this for two days. Which is excellent. The Summer Job hunt begins; my resume is gorgeous and ready to be thrown everywhere! I'm so stoked to make money and work!

I've decided to not waste summer this year. I'm gonna do a drawing a day type thing from May through Mid-August: Everyday, I'm gonna draw a thing. A person, a character, or maybe a quick sketch...I want to brush up my drawing skillage, and I'm considering making my style more cartoony, though I'm not sure yet.

I'm going to finish Remnants this Summer! then I'm going to plan out the next two stories and write them prior to posting, so I can update continuously.

I'm feeling volunteering at the Library this Summer, too. I want to clean out my room and the basement, get rid of old toys my siblings and I no longer use, and be outside a LOT. I'm so excited to help my dad do ALL THE GARDENING!

I'm also going to go for my G Licence, which will be really rad if I get it because then I can usurp the spotlight from my annoying as fuck bratty cousin >

Then I get to be a Gael--the Orientation Week leaders here--assuming my grades are above a 1.6 GPA. God, I am so fucking excited!!!!  

So I'll try to be more active here on dA. But if I'm not as active as I say, I'm probably more active on tumblr, FanFiction as well as FictionPress! 

So basically, expect to hear more from me, hopefully
